    What a exciting weekend it was in Gary. I have been talking to Steve Hemmingsen for a while now about the great job that is being done on the former South Dakota School for the Blind. I happened to be reading a article that Steve wrote about the Blind School back in Aug 2008, It told about how these once grand buildings are not so grand today. On Sunday Roger and I had the chance to have him come and visit. It was as though we were listening to the news on Kelo-Land back in the day. I think we were both thinking, wow his voice is still the same after so many years. We were able to take him over to the New Buffalo Ridge property and show him around, how ever we where unable to take him inside. I think that we are all impressed with the good work that is being done. We also showed him around town to see some of the progress that the town is making. Hopefully in the next couple days we will all be able to read about it on Hemmingsen weighing in at http://blogs.keloland.com
