After decades of being filled in with earth, Lake Elsie is now filled with water. It is just amazing and the waterfall over the dam gives a whole new meaning to “Talking Waters”. Come “Experience the Life” here in Gary South Dakota, and join us for the Grand Opening of Buffalo Ridge Resort, July 3rd, 4th and 5th! Many activities for the whole family and tours daily of the Buffalo Ridge Resort Campus (formally the South Dakota School for the Blind). Pics soon to come!

After all these years, I am so thankful that the buildings are being restored and that the Lake is restored. I remember my grandmother writing to me about the lake when I was little and then when we moved back to Gary, I spent a lot of good times at the lake and the creek fishing and swimming with my friends. It is so refreshing to see it back to the reality that I knew as a child in Gary. We should have a special event for Joe Kolbach appreciation days for all that he and the crew have done to make this an even better place to live and raise your children and grandchildren.
